October Pals Hop: Give Thanks

Welcome to the October PALS HOP!  This month, we're featuring Thanks/Thanksgiving themed projects for your inspiration! I have many things to be thankful about and many people whom I need to thank.  I will begin thanking God for the opportunity to share with you this blog once again.

If you've hopped over from Stephanie's blog, , I'm stop number 9 on the PALS HOP and I'm glad you hopped in!  I'll help you "hop along" from blog to blog where you'll find great ideas for paper crafted creations from the Stampin' Pretty Pals!  Should you hop off course, simply click on any of the links in the PALS HOP LINE-UP at the bottom of this posting and you'll be back on track!

My first project is an MDS digital scrapbook page about my latest blessing this year.  My new grandson Francis Armando. He was born in Okinawa, Japan and I have not yet met him in person.  Thank God for Skype, MSN, and Facebook!  It's like I knew him already!
My second project is a Thank you card with fall colors.  For this and for all the remaining paper projects I used the beautiful Autumn Spice Specialty Designer paper from the Holiday Mini.  I love all the papers, in fact they are cardstock, very appropriate for 3D projects.
I ventured myself to do this little box from the Candy Wrapper Bigz Die from the Holiday Mini. I was not sure if I was folding it like I should but I really liked how it turned out.  Next time I will fold it differently and see what comes out.
For this card I used the same Designer paper.  I matched it with the Day of Gratitude clear stamp set. This set is really beautiful and versatile.  Use it with change ink colors and see how different it can look.

Hop along for more inspiring ideas from Angela, stop number 10 on the Thanks/Thanksgiving PALS HOP!  Thanks for "hopping" by!

May happiness be our destination

Hello friends.  As some of you already know, I had to leave to North Carolina since April, 23, due to a family health emergency.  I have been away from everything and living through a very unexpected and stressful situations. I have found many people along my way who have helped me in a way or another, and today, closer to being back home, I must say THANKS.  My daughter is better now and out of the hospital, friends and family had stepped in to help in many ways,  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.  I am posting a card I had stored in my laptop and with it, I want to wish happiness to every Good Samaritan found along this arduous path.

PPA 38 Sketch Challenge Welcome Baby

Hello! This week Sketch was design by the talented and admired Margaret Moody.  I wanted to give the card a rounder look. I am using one of the Simply Stampin' kit in SU's Clearance Rack.  The card was very easy to make and involved no stamping at all.  Visit the Clearance Rack and take advantage of this fabulous offers while supply lasts.

Mojo Monday 134 Live well

Colors and more colors

For different taste there are colors!! My favorites of today are not necessarily my favorites of tomorrow but I thank God for my senses and for the ability to see in color. Sometimes I get up wanting bold colors and light all around, some other days I prefer dim light and soft colors.  Guess my mood today!! LOL

March Pals Hop: Spring Time

Welcome friend and visitors! If  you've hopped over from Kalshelia's blog, I am stop number 17 on the Pals Hop  and you are almost at the end of  the road. I am sure you have found a lot of beautiful projects and inspirations for your Spring and Easter projects, and wait until you see what Carla have in house for you!  Your comments are SO VERY APPRECIATED!!! Please, leave some love along your way!
As for past hops, I have prepared three projects also.  I do not want to make this a practice because I not always have the time, the energy or the inspiration to do the three, but I always end by doing them, but well, I was happy doing them for all of you so here they are.

I made the card, the embellished candle and the matching box for the candle, all using papers from the Sweet Pea paper pad from the Occasion Mini that I find a Super-Duper Value.  All those beautiful two sided papers!!.  I found the project pretty spring-y, after all, in Puerto Rico, were I live, we have no really marked Seasons, all year long it is green and warm! But my husband....he told me the colors were not Spring-like.  I really appreciate his sincerity but I already had made  my projects...so, I had to made two bonus projects just to ease my conscience and please him, after all, if I ask for his opinion, I should be able to hear what he has to say, don't you think?  Both ways, you win, more projects to get you inspire no matter how you visualize Spring!

The card is made with papers in the free paper pad "Welcome Neighbor" from the SAB set, bitty buttons and gross grain ribbon.

The treat box was made with the BigShot machine, the Pillow Box die, satin ribbon, oval punch, "Ocho Saludos Geniales" stamp set, Word window punch, Designer label punch, Sweet Pea DSP
And now, don't forget to stop at Carla's blog, you will not want to miss it!!

Mojo Monday 127 Un nuevo Mañana

Hello Friends!  Thanks for visiting my blog, I really appreciate your visit and your comments.  This is my interpretation for the Mojo Monday Challenge 127. The sentiment is an almost literal translation of a sentiment I found in the internet, in English.  I made the layout in Picture it! and then printed it. All the paper and cardstock is from Stampin'Up.  Thanks for stopping by!

Thoughts of Comfort, Peace and Love

Here is another Sympathy card made over the week-end.  I hope I do not need it.  It is not easy to contact someone when a loved one had gone but Sympathy is always appreciated.  The layout is from a challenge I found somewhere.  I do not remember where but found it very balanced and beautiful. In the inside I used rub-ons I had and never used.  I liked the final result very much.

Chose Hope

I recently was in need of a Sympathy card for a fried that lost his father.  All the cards I had stored was kind of femenine, then, I realized that I seldom make masculine cards but for an specific birthday card or Father's Day!  Well, this was my first attempt.

PPA Challenge Kiss

Hello friends.  This week the PPA challenge is all about simplicity.  Keep it Simple Sweetie!  Nothing more appropriate for me since I have been ill this week and in no mood to do anything.  In my card for today I used scraps of paper from previous projects, all Stampin'Up and Kraft cardstock, a scrap of ribbon and a piece hodgepodge hardware.  Nothing less complicated! But it turned out very nice.

Mojo Monday 123 Round or Square? I take both.

I could not decide wich one to make, so I made both.  I had made round cards before and I find them very charming but they are harder to make (mine is a bit crooked).  I liked how Mrs. Tilman and Mrs. Bigelow both made the round and square versions of the sketch, so I followed the lead!  I used SU papers, hearts puch and Stamp from the SAB set Frases Caprichosas.
