My Digital Studio Scrapbook Page

Today I was playing and experimenting with MDS and made a page from old photos of my grandson who soon will be 5 years old at the end of this month.  He used to eat Oreo cookies and put a wig on and with his teeth all black with the cookies went to try to scare us.  He looked so funny and he had so much fun when he saw me "terrorized" when I see that Monster, that these photos bring me very happy memories.  This is my very first attempt to make a Digital scrapbook page.  I found the program easy to understand and user's friendly.  But to those experienced with Digital scapbooking it may look too simple.  For me, this page brings smiles and happy thoughts.

Save the date for the our Holiday Hop!

Some more Christmas cards

I am almost done with my Christmas cards.  I made in English and Spanish, for friends here and outside of Puerto Rico.  One thing that helped me tackle this in no time and no headaches was my Christmas Jingle Simply Scrappin' Kit.  (115696) I made most of my cards from one kit.

I will show you some of the cards I did with this Simply Fabulous Scrappin' Kit.  Not just for scrapbooking anymore, but for all kinds of paper crafts and cards!!

Simply made with card stock and stickers from the set.

I only added some crystals. embossed background and embossed greeting.

Card stock, paper and sticker from the kit and a little ribbon...

I made some to participate in challenges while building my stack at the same time.

This one received big stars from my own son!! He loved it.

Holiday Line Up

Since I first saw this stamp set: Holiday line up, it went directly to my wish list (111648).  Finally I could get it and I began to use it for my more informal Christmas card.  It looks so funny!  I made this card for one of my sisters who really enjoys humor.  I know she will like it a lot.  I used paper for the Christmas Jingle Simply Scrappin' set, (115696)  Real Red Cardstock , Chocolate Chip card stock included in the Simple Scrappin' set , and I colored the image with Stampin'up markers and the Aqua Painter (103954).  All this materials are available for purchasing in my Stampin'Up store link: .Press Here

PPA10 Gratitude and Thanks

Recently my blog provider make changes to the way you make new posts and edit the existing ones.  Maybe those changes were light and few but for me a novice blogger, took a little to get used to.  I have been making my cards and challenges, but I have not posted in a while.  I practice a little changing some pictures of previous postings that I was not happy with them and I think that finally I got it.  So, I will try to post my first card after the changes and see how it goes.  By the way, I also recently bought a photo tent and the new photos are ending up much better than before!  I still need to practice, experiment and like always learn by trial and error.  Let's see if you like this new card I made for the PPA Challenge 10 Gratitude and Thanks.  Here, I could make dozens of cards because there are so many people I feel grateful to.  But in my job we had a summer aid, a bright and intelligent student who worked with us for three months.  She learned so quickly and helped us so much that we really were super grateful to her.  I made several simple and youthful thank you cards for her and although the one I finally gave her is not here, (I forgot to photograph it before I gave it to her) her is another one I made.  Thanks Rosimar, wherever you go, you will do great!.

Sweet Sunday Challenge 37

Today is Sunday and after all the things I must do, I try to find a little bit time for things I like to do.  In week-ends when I do not get to find that few hours to do what I love, I feel like I had no weed-end at all.  Luckily, although not much, I squeezed in an hour of so to sit and create.  I decided to participate in the Sweet Sunday

Sketch challenged hosted by http://kgiron.blogspot.com/.  I found that challenges gives me a way to learn and practice and share with talented, experienced designers.  I may not have time to participate in many challenges but Sundays can be Sweet Sundays for me.

PPA 9 Golden Fall

This week PPA 9 is inspired in the colors of Autumn. Although here in Puerto Rico we have green all year long, I remember a visit I made to Washington, DC in a work trip with my husband.  It was on November and all the trees were painted with nature's brush strokes of orange, burnt yellow, olive green and caramel.  It was a beautiful sight that I still remember with pleasure.  I hope I can be back there shortly but in the meantime I am re-creating those memories with my card Golden Fall.  I used Soft Suede cardstock for the card base (115719), retired Stampin'Up Autumn Vine DPS a retired Stampin' Up set "Spring Party" (colored with the colors of fall),  I used the Modern Label Punch (116630) with the sentiment "Pensando en ti" from "Deseos pequenitos" (116841) also available in English. I colored the leaves of the tree with Dusty Durango and Crushed Curry markers and then put a dot metallic stickles over the color.

Mojo Monday 105 Love and Affection

Another Monday and another Mojo Monday Sketch! Today I spent some time viewing the postings for this challenge and I was amazed with all the talent out there. I wanted to make a pretty and happy card. I think I could accomplish just that. The paper is pretty by itself and the sketch is ideal for what I had in mind. I used a retired Simply Scrappin' Kit from Stampin' Up. No stamping here. It was very fast and easy to make. I am amazed by the versatility and ease of use of these Simply Scrappin' kits. You can make fast and easy scrapbook pages, a lot of cards, paper crafts, you can even wrap your gifts and combine the card with the wrapping for a very fancy look. When you have no time at all and need a pretty card or gift, the work is already done for you.

Sweet Sunday Challenge

Today I was making some more Christmas cards from my Simple Scrappin' set Christmas Jingle. There are so many combinations and so many designs that you can make! I have enough supplies for two or three more Christmas, LOL. In my break and while bloggin' around I found a new challenge to participate on. As some of you already know I do not have a group to share my love for stamping. I have never been in a workshop or a SAS or a class. All what I have learn I've done it looking, reading and imitating, then of course, you try to do more original things but the challenges have helped me a lot in getting inspiration to try new things. I found the blog http://kgiron.blogspot.com and her Sweet Sunday Challenge. So, I took her sketch to make another Christmas card. I used textured Brown Cardstock for the based, the embossed image of Dasher, a retired "wish" Stamp and two pieces of the Christmas Jingle Simply Scrappin' set (this set is endless, I love it!). Thanks Karen for the opportunity to participate and share what I love from afar.
